Katalyst was founded by Kathleen McEntee, a former SAG actress whose credits include appearances in television, film and regional theatre. Kat lived and worked in both New York and Los Angeles before returning to her home, the Commonwealth Of Kentucky.

Kathleen "Kat" McEntee is a graduate of Notre Dame Academy (www.nda-cvg.org)in Park Hills, KY. She received her BA in Theatre Performance from Northern Kentucky University (www.nku.edu) in 1992.
She then went on to work in regional theatre. One of her favorites was the Beechwood Theatre Company (www.astorsbeechwood.com) in Newport, Rhode Island. She spent 2 years recreating the year 1891 at the Astor family summer cottage. While there she was part of the cast who recorded the company's holiday songs of the season tape.
She spent some time in New York City before returning to the tri-state area. There she worked as the Children's Agent at Creative Talent before moving to Los Angeles. There she was represented by The Ann Waugh Agency theatrically and Cunningham, Escott & Dipene (CED) (http://www.cesdtalent.com/) commercially. She co-starred in the ABC movie of the week "The Christmas Tree" directed by Sally Field. She also appeared in the pilot episode of ABC's "The Hughley's" She appeared in numerous independent projects and commercials.
While in Los Angeles she studied with the award winning acting coach Silvana Gallardo. (www.silvanagallardo.com/ )Ms. Gallardo is known for coaching the likes of Angelina Jolie, Peta Wilson and Billy Drago. Ms. McEntee is one of the few of Ms. Gallardo's students authorized to teach her technique.
While pursuing her acting career in Los Angeles she worked for Rand (www.rand.org), a world renowned think tank. She later worked for the inFILM Network and created their Film Commission HQ branch (www.filmcommissionhq.com). There she worked her way up to Vice President. She moved back to Kentucky to assist with ill family members. She opened Katalyst in the Fall of 2006.
