Rich Franklin is the 3 time UFC Middleweight Champion. Mixed martial arts (MMA) is an intense and evolving combat sport in which competitors use interdisciplinary forms of fighting that include jiu-jitsu, judo, karate, boxing, kickboxing, wrestling and others to their strategic and tactical advantage in a supervised match. Rich grew up in the Cincinnati area. He is a former math teacher at Oak Hills High School. He obtained his master's degree in education and bachelor's in mathematics from the University of Cincinnati.
Franklin is one of the Ultimate Fighting Championships most popular stars. With Pay per view numbers that reach over half a million his fan base in the 18-34 male demographic is at a top level.
